I have seen Episode III and it was good.
However, both the Sith and the Jedi have fallen short of the ideals of the force.
As such, I have created Jeth. A Jeth warrior will use either a lightsaber or a cheese slicer (at the request of Sir Dutton). Anyway, go join up.
(the philosophy is in part from Esmerelda Weatherwax, a Terry Pratchett character and the Babylon 5 rangers)

I’m not sure exactly what to say about this news article. People do stupid things.
I’m sitting here trying to kill about 10 minutes. I was going to do this by going to random sites I’ve bookmarked over the years. Looks like instead I’ll write a blog entry.
How often do you update your bookmarks? What do you use bookmarks for?

Have a new site in the works CheckyPuppy.Com go there.
Today, he (checkypuppy) announced the opening of a cafepress shop in this article
Having visited the Cafe Press shop… well, it’s interesting I have to say. I think if anyone is interested in the checkypuppy official thong, they should get it for free. Oh, and the buttons have the edges kinda snipped so they say “necky ippy” and I’m just not certain why anyone would want to wear that.
Some other interesting articles why Jedi should marry and the zombie ate my eyes series.
So, immediately syndicate the site! http://www.checkypuppy.com/rdf10_xml is your friend. Use it. Put it in your RSS readers, possibly all of them. Firefox, Safari 2.0, and Thunderbird all can deal with RSS and I’m sure there are a lot of other dedicated readers out there.
Well… I tried pretty hard to get out of this, but in the end I’m having to do CBC’s First Year Introduction workshop. This is costing me (so far) $40. I get no credits for this, there are 3 hours a day 1 day a week 3 weeks of the workshops. On top of that, I have to do several assignments. Well, I have trouble calling them assignments. For anyone who has ever done RPGs, you are familiar with fetch quests… well, that’s what these are.
First off, I did the Time Management workshop for the second hour of my 3 hours of seminars. I have homework in this. I have to account for what I am doing every hour of the day for a week and turn it in next friday. I have never missed a class because I forgot about it. I have never failed to turn in something. Excluding when being sick has caused problems, I have never not completed an assignment on time. I transfered here with a year of part time school from the 3rd largest community college in the nation. I didn’t just have to worry about where on campus a class was going to be, I had to worry about which of 8 campuses it was at. I never got lost, and I got 4.0 in all classes.
I guess, to be honest, I didn’t try as hard as I could have to bypass this, it came down to more of a “well, it’s only 3 weeks, no big deal” thing… I regret that now. I am not looking forward to doing a “scavenger hunt” around the campus to describe what various offices look like and the proceedures for doing things I won’t be doing. Oh, and believe it or not, I know how to use a library… I er… had to learn in elementary school.
Oh well… next week at least the options for workshops changed. It was a workshop on funding your college education, another on introduction to computers, and a third for people majoring in Administrative Office Technology… can’t say those interested me in the least. Even less than Time management actually. But, they added Notetaking since the workshop for it today was just two of us and an instructor.
I was just drinking a glass of grape juice, and, in pouring it, I read the nutrition facts label.
in 1 serving (8oz) of grape juice:
160 Calories
20mg Sodium
39g Carb
37g Sugars
Now, this seemed quite high to me considering that 12oz of Mt Dew has 170 calories if I recall. So:
in 1 serving (8oz) of Mountain Dew:
110 Calories
50mg Sodium
31g Carb
31g Sugars
So…… there it is. Mountain Dew has less sugar than grape juice.
Some various interesting stuff
Some Directions not sure exactly what was entered to get this rather circuitous route. Ben was trying to get from point A to point B in seattle.
(for the uninitiated, this has him make 3 turns at 90 degrees each… 3 wrongs don’t make a right, but 3 lefts do)
Sarcastic Site new site project for a guy in my english class. Very early stages of development, most things don’t work yet. Eventually he’ll post some rather odd commentary on Life, The Universe, and Everything.
Not much else happening really. Never did hear from Skip what the last phone call was about.
Skip just called to tell me that Audi was flying out a technician, a new radio, and I think he said either to replace my car with a TT or my radio with a TT or possibly put a TT radio into my car.
At any rate, I suggested that this might not work, especially since he didn’t know where the technician was being flown to.
So, just the latest twist in this. Possibly I got too many people working on my behalf to get my radio fixed.
I’d take a TT, but I don’t fit in one. But hey, they had my VIN number and my name when they called him.
*shrug*
Well, I’ve finally gotten around to implementing the new changes. It’ll take a long time really, but I’m pretty happy with the variations on blue as they are going in now.
