If I have seen farther than others, it is because I was standing on the
shoulders of giants.
— Isaac Newton

In the sciences, we are now uniquely priviledged to sit side by side with
the giants on whose shoulders we stand.
— Gerald Holton

It has been said that physicists stand on one another’s shoulders. If
this is the case, then programmers stand on one another’s toes, and

Canadia

I have once again survived a trip, including such remote locations as Birch Bay, WA and New Westminster, BC.

I have pictures somewhere, but I’m exhausted.

Managed to keep my 4.0 GPA even with the disappointing start of this last quarter. Pretty sure I won’t run into problems like that again, so not terribly worried about school from here on out.

checkypuppy

Filed under: Life — jmac @ 6:04 pm

Well, to showcase some bits, here’s a trackback to checkypuppy.com a site that has an author that continuously complains about the format yet does nothing about it.

As an interesting bit, this site uses the same software but has a completely different look. All comes down to the code, HTML, CSS, and Python that backend. I could make his site look like whatever he has in mind… if he had something in mind.

Complaining is all good and well, if it’s something you can’t change, he can, no point in continued complaints to me about it.

Oh, check out savetoby.com possibly one of the better money making strategies out there. I’m going to toss a paypal donate button on my site and threaten to burn my english essays.

Edit: He could also pay for the site too (checkypuppy.com that is) since well, it costs me money.

23 years ago today

Filed under: Life — jmac @ 10:52 am

A terrible curse befell the world 23 years ago this day, in Dallas, Texas. I understand it was a Tuesday, the day after Memorial day.

I was born.

Party on Saturday, noonish, my apartment complex’s bbq area. (702) 990-0666 for information.
