So, here I am carless at the moment. My car having spilled many of it’s vital fluids onto a street after it was hit.
So, while it’s probably going to be fixed I’m entertaining the idea that it will be declared totaled and I get to go car shopping.
Options:
New or CPO A4 — it works, why change?
A3 — smaller is better, right?
WRX — Nice seats, goes fast
Cooper-S — Smaller is better, much smaller is much better
Mazda 3 — Zoom Zoom
Landrover Defender from the UK — ok, so this would take forever, but I grew to like them in Tanzania and it could go with me when I leave.

Mostly have a site demo of the hospital’s site done. Team should have gotten back today so will want to see it very soon.
But I’m behind on everything else. I’m not caught up on school reading. I haven’t tried out edubuntu, I haven’t figured out why ubuntu-live won’t run on relm.
I haven’t fixed my laptop.
I haven’t captioned my photos or finished the sorting.
I haven’t cleaned my apartment (or my desktop)
I haven’t gotten my car washed.
Etc.
And it’s only going to get worse as I am continuing to get more tired.
Was reading an article this morning from The Washington Post about China’s new policies on news oriented websites.

I really need to redo these categories. I don’t have one for “school”.
But, at any rate, school is well into session with a week behind me. My International Relations and Anatomy and Physiology books are all copyright 2006. I’m curious about that.
Not a whole lot to report really, A&P looks to be an easy class (to me) as I was expecting. Psychology similarly possibly, but we have group assignments which can always throw a wrench into things. 3 exams for the class, we can drop 1. International Relations is a bit of a wildcard but I’m having fun so far, most of our grade will be from a group project but one I am looking forward to.
Anyway, here I am. Horribly jetlagged and unable to sleep. Classes start in a few hours.
Trying to boil the photos I took down into some reasonably serviceable galleries (aka 100 photos or so out of 1701 in the current one). This is hard, I like a lot of them. Last time I tried I only got it down to 534 which is just too many.
AMS has some neat little connection centers, 10€ for 24 hours of wireless access and a 5€ deposit on a plug adapter. Not a bad system really, reasonable quick and gets my battery recharged (had 20 minutes remaining).

Well, I’m leaving in the morning for Tanzania, east Africa.
As such I won’t be posting any blog entries on the trip until I get back and those will be a summary type entry.

Anyway, I love the comments by that MS Office is a standard… well, to me, OOo (or NeoOffice on this computer as I’ve never been fully happy with X11 on OSX) is the standard. And guess what, it uses formats that are available for anyone completely and totally. Will changing to it be tough? Absolutely. But someone has to step up or it will never get done.
