Well, I’m back home, finally figured out why I couldn’t get to my blog, Ben’s blog, etc from a support ticket that was filed.
Thanksgiving was good, food from noon until 9pm continuously. Can’t go wrong with that.
Trip back up here was interesting, snowing a bit, stupid drivers. Had a black SUV (Durango? All badging was removed) with heavily tinted windows tailgated me for a while while I was doing 70mph, which was faster than I should have been going. As I got out of his way he passed me at over 80mph, went about 100ft realized that traffic ahead wasn’t moving, spun, crossed to the right shoulder, spun (not sure how many times, snow was going _everywhere_). Somehow even in traffic he didn’t hit anyone as he crossed the road again, spun, crossed back into the right shoulder, and somehow managed to get into the right lane behind a greyhound bus.
This morning I cleaned a foot of snow off of my car to go get the mail, which was all junk.
Fired it up today:
1) Faulty Battery - Apparently the Apple Store put a dead, completely dead, battery into it.
2) Unable to click - Trackpad clicker only works EXACTLY in the center, or if you hold down BOTH sides.
Apple is replacing it, but it will be up to 6 weeks during which time I will have to open up the cables and everything else for the white replacement macbook I have, instantly lowering its sale price. Apple offered to upgrade to 2GB of memory at 1/2 price ($200). I can pick up Kingston memory for that price _and_ have the 1GB to sell, so that would be a losing proposition.
Apple refuses to refund or compensate me in any way.

Well, the trip’s over, I’m camped out at my parent’s house. Still on the white macbook, but mine is floating around somewhere. My new Sony Ericsson z710i has my contact list on it. I’ve passed out various gift items, etc.

Well, about 6am and I’m sitting at JFK. Sailed through security, but there were a lot of people getting out behind me, so perhaps just in time. Flight leaves at 8:35 so I’ve got a bit of a wait.
I saw a wireless network here for a moment, but it seems to have vanished, it was 63% for the one packet I saw.
All in all New York was good, despite being sick I really enjoyed my time here.
Going to pull out the iPod and relax for a bit I think now.
Well, last day here, seem to have a bit of a cold so didn’t get to finish up a lot of what I wanted to see.
Had horseradish crusted organic salmon, spicy tuna sushi, and various things dipped in chocolate fondue for dinner at the Atlantic Grill.
