Pulled a massive (older) Cadillac out of the snow today. That was kinda fun. A couple of kids with a big truck were quite convinced my “toyota” [Audi A4 Quattro] wouldn’t cut it.
At any rate, I connected my tow rope and my dad drove my car. The wheels didn’t even slip… Blizzak REVO 1, for the win.
I have an Asus EeePC 701. It’s nice and shiny… shiny as in neat and über, not as in the finish, which is a very matte black.
It’s running Ubuntu 7.10 “Gutsy” now. I like it, it’s light and portable and subnotebooky and several of the keys are really, really hard to hit.
Filled a second 55 gallon aquarium that will be in my bedroom. Planning to do a cichlid tank, probably Tanganyikan.
Well, apparently either one of my toll-free numbers, or one similar enough to missdial it has shown up on a junk fax for an Orlando vacation.
You can imagine that I am overjoyed by this…
A baby platy made it into the bag with fish last night.
I spend a fair amount of time attempting to locate it every few minutes.
So, I broke down and got some fish. Watching the plants has been wonderful but was getting some spots of a brown algae. Anyway, some green Cory cats and some Oto cats and some Chinese algae eaters that had jumped into the Oto tank it seems. They look quite different under better lighting, but remarkably similar at the pet shop.
After a long wait, some hits and misses (the installer crashes on Leopard so the account won’t activate) and similar.
I am now online at my new house! Quite happy. Expect posts again soon. Maybe after I clean the boxes off of my office floor.
